On June 19,2009 New Hyde Park held it's annual Bingo Appreciation Dinner Dance to thanks all of the Bingo Workers for their help during the last year. A new wall plaque was introduced by Grand Knight Joe Renta that honors the receipents of the Bingo Worker of the Year Award. Thsi year's recepient was Artie Schmaeling PGK, PFN.

On Sunday, April 9th, Council 2852 held it's Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Memorial Park in New Hyde Park. Almost 150 people attended this event. Much thanks to Joe and Carol Renta, Saverio Grasso and Doug Aidalia for there work to make this such a success.

Weekend of March 25 / 26 Council 2852 held a Membership Blitz at Holy Spirit Church. Saverio Grosso spoke at the 9:30 and 11 AM Mass. He presented Father Tony with a copy of the Father McGivney Autobiography, Parish Priest, during mass as a token of Council 2852's appreciation for Father Tony's continued support of our Council and being our Chaplain.

On Thursday Nights at Manor Oaks School, Joe Abberton, Saverio Grosso and Megan O'Connor donate their time to conduct basketball clinics. These clinics are for "Special Olympic" boys and girls who learn how to play basketball from these volunteers.

On March 11th Council 2852 held it's annual St. Patrick's Day Dance. Entertainment was provided by DJ John of Funtime Music & Video, Wantagh American Legion Bagpipe Band and Inishfree Step Dancers. Catering was provided by Mastrantonio Caterers.

On February 18th Council Members attended Mass with Father Tony and the Pope John XXIII Honor Guard. After mass there was a Dinner Dance at the Coucil Hall.

On January 22, 2006 Council 2852 members participated in the Right To Life Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral with the Mass presided over by Cardinal Egan. Fourth Degree Honor Guard also particpated. After Mass there was a brunch at the Council Hall.

On December 6, 2005 Council 2852 held it's annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Many dignitaries were present. Underlying theme this year is to have a Blessed Christmas and remember Christmas is the Reason for the Season.

On November 22, 2005 Council 2825 held it's annual memorial mass to honor Knights and Columbiettes that have passed on in 2005. Father Tony conducted the mass and gave a beautiful sermon to honor these men and women. As Father Tony put it they were our Salt and Pepper that spiced up our lives and council. Pope John XXIII Assembly Honor Guard also participated in the Mass.

On June 28, 2005 Council 2852 held it's annual Knight Appreciation Night. Bill McDonald, PGK and Tom McGowan, PGK were name Co-Knights of the Year for their dedication to our council. Council members said thank you to Paul Salvato for his 23 years of service as Financial Secretary and to Harry O'Connor, GK for his 3 years of service to Council 2852 as Grand Knight. On June 25, 2005 Council 2852 held it's annual Frank D'Oria Bingo Workers Appreciation Dinner to thank all of the Bingo works for their hard work and dedication. Vincent Scalia was named Bingo Volunteer of the Year.

On May 24, 2005 Council held it's monthly Open Meeting. This meeting was dedicated to the Veteran's of the Vietnam War and Guest speaker Morris Miller from this organization. He discussed their current project of sending care packages to Troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Council 2852 fully supports these efforts and provided a donation to this cause.

On May 15, 2005 the Knights of Columbus held the Pilgrimage to the Our Lady of the Island Shrine in Manorville, NY. A mass was celebrated by council members from Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Members of New Hyde Park Council 2852 package $1,000 worth of items requested by the coordinators of Operation Heart 2 Heart, a civilian outreach program for soldiers hospitalized after being wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
