Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
On December 6, 2005 Council 2852 held it's annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Many dignitaries were present. Underlying theme this year is to have a Blessed Christmas and remember Christmas is the Reason for the Season.

Annual Memorial Mass
On November 22, 2005 Council 2825 held it's annual memorial mass to honor Knights and Columbiettes that have passed on in 2005. Father Tony conducted the mass and gave a beautiful sermon to honor these men and women. As Father Tony put it they were our Salt and Pepper that spiced up our lives and council. Pope John XXIII Assembly Honor Guard also participated in the Mass.

Officer's Installation Ceremony
On August 23th, 2004 Council 2852 held it's Officer Installation Ceremony for the Columbian Year 2005 - 2006. The Ceremony was conducted by District Deputy Nick Pennachio. In attendance were dignitaries from the Nassau and State Councils and State Deputy Anthony Preziosi.

Knight Appreciation Night
On June 28, 2005 Council 2852 held it's annual Knight Appreciation Night. Bill McDonald, PGK and Tom McGowan, PGK were name Co-Knights of the Year for their dedication to our council. Council members said thank you to Paul Salvato for his 23 years of service as Financial Secretary and to Harry O'Connor, GK for his 3 years of service to Council 2852 as Grand Knight. A video of the past year's Council Activities were also shown.

Bingo Appreciation Dinner
On June 25, 2005 Council 2852 held it's annual Frank D'Oria Bingo Workers Appreciation Dinner to thank all of the Bingo works for their hard work and dedication. Vincent Scalia was named Bingo Volunteer of the Year.

On June 18, 2005 the New Hyde Park Columbiettes celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a Dinner Dance. NHP Columbiette Chaplain Father McBrien was in attendance.

On June 3rd Council 2852 held it's annual Golf Outing at Clearview Golf Course in Bayside. After 18 rounds of Golf a dinner party was held at Henry's.

Open Meeting Veteran's of the Vietnam War
On May 24, 2005 Council held it's monthly Open Meeting. This meeting was dedicated to the Veteran's of the Vietnam War and Guest speaker Morris Miller from this organization. He discussed their current project of sending care packages to Troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Council 2852 fully supports these efforts and provided a donation to this cause.

Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Island
On May 15, 2005 the Knights of Columbus held the Pilgrimage to the Our Lady of the Island Shrine in Manorville, NY. A mass was celebrated by council members from Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

On April 29, 2005 Council 2852 presented the Off-Broadway Play, Late Nite Catechism, at the Council Hall. During intermission a 50/50 raffle and prize giveaway raffle was held.
